HELP!!!! I FEEL LIKE A BINGE IS COMING UP!
help! say sth so i dont eat when there is free food in 2 hours anad in 43 hours at midnight
help me!!!
i hate college free food events!!! =(
eat an apple or oatmeal (something low cal, yet substantial) before you go. always have a glass of water in your hands or tea so you're preoccupied. socialize. don't stand near the food. You don't have to binge!!!
The best you can do is remove yourself from the temptation. When you get a moment, analyze what nutrition you are getting or not getting. If you are missing out on key nutrients, your body may be kicking in your appetite.
Keep your refined sugar intake very low, get at least 8 hours of sleep and make sure you are hydrated. This will lessen the body's response to want to eat when it doesn't need it.
If you fall off of the wagon, dust yourself off and get back up and ride again. We have all been there, young and old! - Best wishes!
thanks bigdad, thanks vron!
but i rlly rlly do hate those free food events!!! =(
Honestly, if it was a free college food event, I'd say eat a little bit. Plan to eat a snack or a whole meal there. Just don't eat 5 slices of pizza and 2 desserts and a couple sodas/drinks. Go and plan to have 2 slices, 1 dessert, and 1 cola. If its a late night event, don't weigh yourself in the morning. And it's straight back to healthy moderate meals the next day.
If you go (which I wouldn't because I hate the stuff they serve at these events, but hey not everyone is the same), decide in advance how many items you are going to put on your plate. Then grab a plate, put that number of items on it, and let that.be.it. Move away from the table, start socializing, and eat what you have on your plate slowly, appreciating every bite, knowing many people don't get free meals although they need them (I know, this sounds like guilt-tripping, but it's not. It's realizing how lucky we are.)
If you don't think you can stick to your resolution of eating only as much as you decide in advance, don't go. It's not worth it.
