in the last couple days I just keep getting to the point where I'm starving, having very strong hunger pains etc, but the thought of eating almost makes me feel sicker. Last time I pushed something down and I felt "better" but I didn't enjoy it at all and felt slightly gross afterward. what could cause this? I have NO history of eds but I am under a ridiculous amount of stress from college right now-- could that be the cause? I also consumed a lot of caffeine last night-- 1 red bull and 2 cups of coffee. I know not good for me. But has anyone else (that has a healthy mindstate towards food) experienced this and what caused it? I just want to feel relatively normal so I can keep working at the top of my game!! =(

To me, you sound like you're describing simple nausea! The caffeine could be contributory to it but honestly, I'd just try eating plain foods and enough of them to keep your calories up, and if your nausea continues to speak to a doctor.

Try not to wait until you're absolutely starving hungry before you eat.  Start early, eat regularly (every 2 hours) and keep a steady stream of light meals snacks and fluids up so that you have enough energy, you're well-hydrated and you're properly nourished.   Excessive amounts of caffeine can make you feel sick and 'wired'.  Lack of sleep can make you feel sick as well.   If you feel over-tired, your blood-sugars are all over the place and your stomach acids are playing merry hell then you won't want to eat.

If you want to work efficiently and be on top of your game the smart thing to do is not to burn the candle at both ends.  We've all done it.  Trying to stay awake long into the night so you can finish some piece of work may feel like you're making a big effort but all that happens is that you end up working at half-speed, making poor decisions and probably having to redo a lot of it.... more stress.   If you take time out to sleep, relax & eat properly you'll find you work much more quickly, be able to concentrate better and be more accurate.   Much better use of your time and much less stressful.

Usually I've just waited too long to eat when this happens.

Or you're depressed. (Stress may cause this.) When I get depressed and stressed I just shut down. I can hardly stomach half of things I'd normally eat in full. Continue t eat. If it doesn't get better after finals, I'd see a doctor.
