So! I have a weigh-in coming up. And I'm pretty sure that this one will result in a calorie-increase. And I'm wondering; is it better to just shoot for the increase all at once (I.E. add like 500 all into one day) or to build it up (add 250 one day, next day add another 250 somewhere else) Part of me thinks its easier to add a bit at a time over the course of 2-3 days, but then part of me thinks maybe its better to just do it all in one shot. I'm not sure which is easier to cope with anxiety/ED wise.

Opinons? Experiences? Knowledge? All would be greatly appreciated.

Neither will physically hurt you. But you have to make a decision: which one will make you worry more? Personally I'd go for the one-shot hit but that's just me.

Mmm. It gets confusing with the ED in my head. "Don't add too much at once! It'll be easier if you spread it out..." but then again there's also the looming "You have to add calories today and again tomarrow". I'll probably just flip a coin and tell my head to shut the &%@# up.

Just go with what you feel like rather than trying to plan it obsessively, that's what I find works best :)

Like eat what you normally would, then add in a surprise high cal snack that's also a fear food to get it up to your required intake xD

Thats not a bad idea. Though I do tend to plan things out in advance...I feel like when its written down that then its something I need to do/follow, and I can be prepared for whatever it is. Plus its the only way I can keep track of my intake and make sure that its enough. When I used to not plan it out, I'd add up after dinner and be like 300 short, not including the PM snack I still had to have. I distinctly remember running to the grocery store at 8PM to buy another gallon of ice cream because there wasn't enough left in the one we had at home to do me any good. Ever since those days, my mother has taken to "looking over" what it is that I'm going to eat on a given day and add it up herself to double check.
