Loosing 11 pounds by christmas...??

do you guys think its bad if i try to do that, my goal was 30 by christmas and im at 19..I wont cut my calories super low or anything ill just workout for an hour EVERY DAY untill christmas and eat like 1500 calorie a day, i was 191 now im 172, im 5' 4" and im 19, do you think its possible, b/c when i workout like 3 times a week and eat 1500 calories i loose like 1.5 pounds a week, so if i worked out every day and continued eatting the same wouldnt i loose like 3 pounds a week? or something? and if after christmas i stopped working out every day and i started working out 5 times a week and eatting the same would my body be like what the heck and i would gain?? i know its not "healthy" to loose more than 2 pounds a week, but if you are working out and eatting right and you just happen to loose 3 pounds a week or something is that bad?? Any advice or  suggestions. Thanks =)

To lose 11 lb by Christmas you'd have to lose 1/2 a pound per DAY.  11 lbs divided by 22 days = .5lb per day. 

There is no healthy way to do that... in fact there really isn't any way to do it period, because cutting your calories to the point of getting that much of a deficit (1750 cal deficit per day) would slow/shut your metabolism down and you'd probably maintain or even gain.  You should not have more than a 1000 calorie deficit per day; otherwise you are just going to shoot yourself in the foot so to speak.

Edited to say - I'd like to lose 11 lb by Christmas too!  lol  But we have to think of the end result we want and not sabotage our efforts. Smile

Another thing to take into consideration is that it's harder to lose weight the closer you get to your goal for most people. I wouldn't try something this ambitious without preparing you starve myself.

That said, if you just happened to loose more than two pound a week, I don't think that's bad. However, I think that typically happens to people with a lot of excess weight that are drastically changing their eating habits, not someone 11 lbs away from goal. =/

my goal is like 37 pounds away..not 11..that was just my by christmas goal, but thats okay, ill make my goal 6 pounds instead thanks for the advice

know exactly how you feel; just had to lower my xmas goal weight cause it was a little too aggressive, and now wanna loose about 6/7lbs too, so i can be in the 150's.

i just keep telling myself, xmas is the 25th december, ONE DAY, i can eat badly/not exercise on that day then straight back to healthy eating on boxing day; so not hitting my predefined target wont be an issue!
