Only the positive or people in need of encouragement welcomed here. Don't need no hateration!!! I have over 100 pounds to lose but I'm very optimistic and I know it's possible. Tell me your story and I'll share with you mine. Women and Men are both welcome...and age does not matter.
I have over 100lbs to lose and I'm set on doing it. I lost 60lbs last year and I'd like to do another 60 within the next year (fiscal, not calendar). I definately need support, motivation and encouragement. I know a lot about weight loss but lack the personal drive a lot of the time to put that knowledge into practice. However I find I do better when I have others doing to share info and stories with.
I totally 100% agree. Well you can do it girl. I'm going to add you as a friend and send you a link to check out. There's an amazing product I started using that is completely natural and healthy.
I need to lose over half of me......Sad but true. I don't remember ever being a "normal" weight although there are pics of me as a small child where I look okay. I have been stuggling with the same 10 lbs for several months now but seem to be back on a downward trend. I am doing it by counting calories along with healthier food choices and portion control. It's a constant battle for me. All encouragement and advise welcome. I have been fortunate enough that my changes that I have made so far have enabled me to come off bp and cholesterol meds but I still have close monitoring to do.
Just dropping in to say it is possible! Currently I've lost 125 pounds! You really can do it. Good luck!
It's good to see everyone is staying positive. We will be able to do this. It'll be even harder with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up but it is all about portion control and counting those calories. RIght now it's freezing in TN so I haven't felt like being outside much but I'm trying to do exercises at home and get my butt to the gym.
Hi!! I too have over 100lbs to lose. I've been heavy alll of my life and i'm ready for a change. I've really been struggling during this last year with my weight. trying to stay focused can be hard at times but i believe i'm ready for it now! What's everyone doing for exercise?
I posted a week or two ago in the "Men trying to drop the weight" thread. When I started my diet, I needed to lose probably about 140-150. I'm 5'8'' and started the diet at 297 (though I've been as heavy as at least 311), and I'm now at 197, exactly 100 pounds less coincidentally enough! :)
So I can tell you that it can be done, and as someone who hasn't seen a "1" in front my weight since I stopped growing (I don't know specifically when I was under 200 before, but it probably had to be in junior high or high school), I never thought I'd see a "1" in front of my weight. I would be content to stay where I'm at (my original goal was just to get under 200), but I'm still on the diet and I still don't look or feel "thin" or "average", so I'm hoping to take at least another 20 or so off, maybe even get at or below 160 to get out of the "overweight" category in terms of BMI.
So I'm here to tell you that the weight can be dropped, because it can even be done by someone like me that has never been anywhere their proper weight since grade school!
I could offer a long list of things that worked for me if anybody is interested. But I'm not one to assume that what works for me will work for others. But it's nothing unique. I just cut the calories. The anecdotes I could offer would just be ways I managed to eat less calories and stay in the diet mode, and just the million or so thoughts and insights I have about the whole weight loss/diet experience as it is occuring! :)
Hi! I am new to this website and am enjoying it so far. I have always struggled with my weight and got on all tyes of dites. This time I am not calling it a diet but more like watching what I am eating. I have been on for a week and lost 11 pounds. Sounds to good to be true but it is. I guess my body just reacted that way from taking in all these calories before and now half of that. I feel very motivated and would like different ideas of how to lose the weight without feeling like on a diet. Hope to keep in touch and share each others progress.
