More Exercise = More Hunger?

Quote  |  Reply

I was wondering, since you burn more calories and all, wouldn't your body feel more hungry throughout the day since it lost those calories? Do you feel more hungry if you exercise than if you didn't? Just curious.

thats what i always assumed, but im actually less hungry on days i exercise; my housemate explained it to me as something to do with the blood rushing to your stomach...?!

it was kinda  disgusting so i wasnt really paying any attention-id be interested to know why that was though.

Hm, never think about this from this angel. Usually I eat after exercises, because this is the time you don't gain fat but food goes to recover muscles (they need to be fed after workout). Because I eat after exercises I don't feel hungry at all lol

My girlfriends never eat after our exercise class and I always wonder why, but people are different.

So, exercises and than eat, this is the normal process and you will not gain weight.

I am more hungry on the days that I do strength training, but I am not as hungry when I do cardio only. I think its like the above poster said about your muscles needing food to repair themselves.
