Is this possible??

I just started taking new vitamins (C & D) last week and now my appetite has decreased.   Is there a relation??

Perhaps your body is not used to the supplements? Give it some time!

I have noticed with myself if I am low in some vitamin or mineral categories, my appetite goes up.  Also lack of sleep can cause it as well as rising and falling blood sugar levels.

I also take liquid B12,  I take double dose of Vitamin D because I'm low.  The doctor told me to take my D at bed time. (why??? don't know)  Anyways it seems to help me too. The B gives me energy so I take it in the morning. C is for keeping you healthy during cold and flu season but doesn't help me with appetite. You might have been low in something.

twt11,

I know exactly what you're talking about...when you speak about a decreased appetite with Vit D. I started taking Cod Liver Oil (Yuck - but I take it anyway) and I have also noticed a decrease in my appetite. My Vitamin D bottle does say that it can cause you to have a decreased appetite. Of course, you still need to eat well balanced - regardless of lack your lack of hunger...

Hi Wendy,

Just an FYI...I am not a doc, but read yesterday in a reliable piece of medical news, taking cod liver oil is not a good thing.  Maybe you should ask someone, just in case?
